UNIFORM

Within class, we discuss the importance of uniform, hair and attire. A dress code ensures teachers can see the dancer’s alignment and teach discipline, helping with overall focus and energy.

Wearing a uniform gives the students a sense of belonging and equality. It will help to minimise distractions and gives the class a unified look.

All our dance uniform and logo items (t-shirts, hoodies, bags etc) are available from The Dance Emporium (see address details at the bottom of this page). The shop will take phone orders if you are unable to get there, however, we do advise going to the shop to ensure correct fitting of all dancewear.

Crop tops are not a set uniform for any class but may be worn in Jazz, Contemporary and Street Dance or under t-shirts for musical theatre.

Hair must be neatly groomed and off the face with no jewellery to be worn during any lesson.

BALLET

Hairstyle for all Ballet classes:
Slick ballet bun secured with hairnet and hair pins. No doughnuts, cotton hair nets or other accessories.
